Competition design Nationale Nederlanden

The new accommodation of insurance company Nationale Nederlanden in Rotterdam was the subject of a multiple commission in 1986.

Architects Bonnema, Coenen, Kraaijvanger, Van Mourik and Quist were invited to enter the competition. The commission involved a complex of two office buildings for separate use, a facilities building and parking spaces. The design ultimately selected and constructed was that of Abe Bonnema, called the Delftse Poort, with 151 meters the highest office building in the Netherlands at that time.
